I just got to see something in action that I have always known to be true but was so thrilled to get to see it up close!
Our teachers and instructional coaches work so very hard, in so many different ways, earnestly analyzing and strategizing and revamping what it takes to help students learn. These past few months I have gotten to attend some meetings with the Academic Strategic Planning Team as they have worked to develop goals and strategies to achieve those goals to see valid, measurable improvement in our students. They diligently work together to develop and share methods that work, helping to shape the coaching and learning among themselves and other teachers, and they do it all with the sincere, heartfelt desire of helping our kiddos.
I have long known that of course that drive to help students is there in abundance in our teachers and district employees, but, for a few meetings at least, I have gotten to hear and see some living, devoted examples of it – and the few whom I saw on this particular team are just that, merely a few of the many, many Ozark employees also sacrificially working to help our students succeed because they believe and desire the same: helping our students.
