Wow, these weeks have flown by! I apologize for being so remiss in passing along reports to you all!! After our successful efforts this summer to archive the livestream recordings of the board meetings, interested viewers can now find recordings of the District School Board meetings on the District’s YouTube Channel.
As you may have noticed from some event posts I shared on my Facebook page from Ozark Schools, last week was busy! The board met on Tuesday for the difficult task of narrowing the field of many exceptional applicants for the position of superintendent, the district offered on Wednesday the first of several Curriculum Conversations meetings to allow parents room to hear and ask about our students’ curriculum, and on Thursday the school board held a community Town hall meeting (the District did not archive this recording, but fortunately another group did.) This week is also busy with a long-range planning meeting tonight, final interviews to select a superintendent Wednesday, and the regular monthly board meeting Thursday night at 7pm at the OIC.
The board meeting agenda, as always, can be found at https://simbli.eboardsolutions.com/…/SB_MeetingListing… (usually posted 24 hours in advance), and videos of the past meetings and Townhalls can be found at https://www.youtube.com/playlist…
I look forward to hearing your input on aspects of school important to you as well as on any of the various items on the meeting agenda, which includes, among other many other things, some proposed policy revisions, the annual audit report, and a data storage agreement. As always, please feel free to contact me at my school address ChristinaTonsing@OzarkTigers.org, or, for those who are unable to get through that way, at ChristinaforOzark@yahoo.com
**Please note that all thoughts and opinions expressed by me are my own.
I speak solely for myself and do not intend to represent the Board to you in any way in anything I say.
I do, however, fully intend to do my job representing YOU to the board! 😉
