Announcing the August Meeting

Are you getting ready for the Ozark School Board’s tax levy hearing next week? It’s when the board meets to discuss — and hear input from the citizens! — the rate at which the tax levy should be set. The agenda and details of the meeting will be available soon at https://simbli.eboardsolutions.com/…/SB_MeetingListing… The meeting is going to be on Tuesday, August 22, at 7 or 7:15pm in the OIC, 1600 W. Jackson Street.

Last month we heard from our financial advisor in a bit of preparation for this month’s meeting. If you missed hearing him speak, the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXlwdKrrOhY shows the presentation around 46 minutes or so into the meeting.

The papers with the levy rates and graphs showing the increased income for the schools this year which he’s discussing are attached to the agenda at https://simbli.eboardsolutions.com/…/ViewMeeting.aspx… and can also be found at https://simbli.eboardsolutions.com/Mee…/Attachment.aspx…

The budget for this school year was approved at the June meeting, and you can find a copy of it on the agenda or at https://simbli.eboardsolutions.com/…/23-24%20Budget…

Your input is valuable, and I always appreciate hearing it, both at the meeting as well as in advance. The district-hosted board email addresses can be found at https://www.ozarktigers.org/domain/69 and, if for some reason that will not work for you, please feel free to also send your comments to ChristinaforOzark@yahoo.com

Again, I am only one individual out of seven on the board, and I do not make decisions on my own nor do I ever intend for anything I say or post to represent the board to you. I do, however, remain very strongly committed to representing YOU to the board! Thank you for the opportunity to do that!

**Please note that all thoughts and opinions expressed by me are my own.
I speak solely for myself and do not intend to represent the Board to you in any way in anything I say.
I do, however, fully intend to do my job representing YOU to the board! 😉
