The Board work sessions are always my favorites (even though it costs us all a day of vacation at work, it’s worth it!) We always get to see and hear and inquire and brainstorm and discuss so many ideas. Wednesday’s topics included looking at the budget and brainstorming ways to better support our teachers and employees, talking about some adjustments to the board calendar and making more data available to students as they’re making their way through high school, and priority standards and proficiency scales for our elementary and middle schoolers as they learn the most important skill of all, learning how to learn.
The perfect cap to a full day was an awesome message from Pastor Kevin Carson at Baccalaureate, challenging the seniors to choose the best path in life!
