I’d like to thank all of you who have reached out to encourage me after the last board meeting. As I say often, I don’t ever intend to represent the Board to you, but I will always try to represent YOU to the Board.
I wanted to update you that the next Ozark School Board meeting is a specially-called one on July 25. We have so many things to finish (and start!) discussing that we had to throw in an extra meeting this summer! The board is having a special work session (open to the public) at 5pm, then the other session is at 7pm.
Some topics left-over from the last meeting that we hope to discuss will include another chance to approve the idea of saving the livestream videos of the board meetings — and student and employee handbooks!
You can find the handbooks attached to the agenda on the Consent Agenda for June 29 meeting. (I pulled them from last month’s Consent Agenda because they are too important to approve without enough time to read them!) We would all be better off if everyone took a look at them and sent in their thoughts on them. Thanks!
Here’s the link to the agenda where the proposed handbooks were located last month: https://simbli.eboardsolutions.com/…/ViewMeeting.aspx…
If you click on the individual letter in the outline (“R” and “Y”), it should show you the attachment with the handbooks to be discussed and approved this month.
You’ll also see the budget, technology plan, facility improvement plan, and other important documents like the plan for fixing the High School’s air conditioning (ESCO plan, item 14C) attached there which were approved last month.
We look forward to seeing you next week at the meeting as well as hearing your input this week!

I speak solely for myself and do not intend to represent the Board to you in any way in anything I say.
I do, however, fully intend to do my job representing YOU to the board! 😉
